Our Flexible Fund is open again, with a deadline for applications of 20 March 2026.
N-ZEEE will fund activities such as:
A short secondment at an industrial or academic partner with the aim of initiating or furthering a research collaboration.
Attendance at a workshop or conference, ideally that is outside your usual conference schedule.
Budget to support delivery of a series of talks or seminars on your research.
Collaboration - proposal development
N-ZEEE wants to help groups of researchers develop research proposals, by covering costs for collaboration. There must be at least two applicants. Groups that contain applicants from both academia and industry are welcome.
Workshop funding
This flexible funding round calls for applications to support workshops that bring experts and the network's researchers together. The funding will cover expenses like accommodation, subsistence, travel, venue hire and catering.
For each workshop, we would anticipate a speaking slot for a member of the N-ZEEE leadership team and opportunities for early career researchers. The network will help organise and promote workshops as required. We have two remaining awards to offer, to a value of around £2000 each.
